                  Some facts about Regional Rural Banks

1. Regional Rural Banks were established in 1975 under the provisions of the ordinance promulgated on the 26th September , 1975 and RRB acts 1976.
2. In terms of section 6 of the RRB acts the central government , the Spencer banks and the State government have subscribed to the share capital of the banks in the ratio of 50:35:15.
3. Prathma bank was the first RRB in the country. 
4. RRB are working in all state of the country except Sikkim and Goa.
