  1.  Webb simpson won US open golf on june 17,2012 at san Francisco.
  2.  Rafeal nadal won french open in men's single category beating Novak Djokovic.
  3.  Maria sharapova won french open in women's single category beating Sara Errani.
  4.  Australia’s veteran pace bowler, Brett Lee has announced his retirement from all forms of International     cricket on Friday on 13th July. The 35-year-old pacer had retired earlier from Test cricket about a year ago during February 2010 but he continued to play for Australia in one-day cricket and in the Twenty20 matches. He has had a remarkable no of 310 wickets in 76 matches in his career of Test cricket.
  5. After a long wait lasting two and a half years, Roger Federer proved his fans again by winning his 7th Wimbledon title defeating Britain’s Andy Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 in the finals on Sunday. With this win, his he has so far had 17 career Grand Slams and has returned to the No.1 spot.
  6. Torres receives the Golden Boot and Spain make history during the Euro 2012 cup played in Ukrainian capital Kiev. Spain scored an astounding victory over Italy scoring 4-0
